This lovely Japanese Koransha pottery moon flask is painted in the Imari palette depicting whimsical characters in an outdoor setting around cherry blossom foliage. Koransha was founded as a maker and exporter of Arita porcelain in 1875 by Eizaemon Fukagawa and three partners. After the company was dissolved in 1879, Eizaemon founded Koran, the company that would later become Koransha. The vessel measures 8 in 20.3 cm wide, 2 in 5.7 cm deep and 9 in 24.6 cm in height.
