Late 18th C. Mahogany Bookcase with Dental Cornice Detail

This superb quality and imposing mahogany bookcase with dental cornice detailing has providence from Cound Hall in Shropshire.  The top half of the bookcase is lined in a cream moiré silk with Astragal glazing on the doors and the bottom half consists of a cupboard with one central shelf, each section with a working lock and key. The bookcase measures 107 in – 271.8 cm high, 80 in – 203.2 cm wide and 17 ˝ in – 44.5 cm in depth.
